parenting mediation Questions

Can one appeal a signed parenting plan mediation agreement?

I signed off thinking that it was going to be the best for the kids but within one day I found out based on her actions it was a mistake. Is there anything one can do or is it to late. I though she had changed and was going to start being a mother again but now see it was nothing more then a ploy to get the child support.

you are still going to pay c/s !

What is your opinion on an ex bringing our 4 yr old on a trip with his girlfriends parents?

My ex left when our child was 3 months old. He was seeing a girl from work. They still together which is good I think. However she has spread lies about me, he has never acknowledged the hurt and pain he caused (I have two sons who thought of him as a Dad and we had plans to buy a house together and talked seriously about marriage)..Also he landed this bombshell on xmas eve 04. We have been to mediation as he didnt want too much access to his child. The mediator was less then impressed with him. I have always been accomadating to him for my sons sake but now he is using his time with my son to introduce him to her family. Everytime I
disagree or show any discomfort in this I am labelled bitter and jealous.
Im not an unreasonable person and I genuinely am not jealous or bitter. Which is why I need another opinion..

In many states (at least in Virginia) if your child goes to visit the father and the father lives with a woman they have to be married. It happened with my now husband and I. And the judge gave us an ultimatum married or the child can’t come to visit. That being said I know how uncomfortable it must make you feel having you child getting to know the “other woman’s” family. Look at it this way. She has been in the child’s life since 2004. Obviously for now it she isn’t going anywhere. I would rather have someone with my ex that is taking time to get to know my child. If you want him to be in the your child’s life there is going to have to be some give and take. At least he is spending time with your child instead of running off somewhere and have his girlfriend solely watch them…I know to many dead beat dads who do it!
