So the meeting yesterday with the trustee went well. It was quick and painless. The Mr. was given a continuance to the 30th because the trustee wanted an appraisal on the house and we didn’t have that. We got it after and faxed that to his lawyer along with a certificate for a 2 hour long course he had to take on personal finances. He shouldn’t have to go back on the 30th now… or at least that is what he was told. Now we wait 60 days and then should have a discharge. Then I have to find a job. We have really tightened our belts here and they can’t get much tighter. Karate & Kickboxing have been canceled until further notice. Scraping so we can afford to go to NH in August. Have to have some fun right?

I am back in the position I was in two years ago wondering what I will find for work.. will I like it… how will it affect the family and everything else. Ugh! Hate it! I have some time to set my mind straight… until then I am going to get all the things done I have been putting off. Both kids need physicals and eye appointments. Both should need new glasses as well. That is going to suck. Should run us around $500 all together. Ugh! There’s our deductible though. Gotta space them out though.

I have to find a way to get rid of some of the store crap. Our register system Quickbooks POS, a computer system, fax/copier/printer. Not sure which is the best way to go. Maybe want ads… Not dealing with shipping on them that is for sure!

Also going to spend some time on a new design here. I want to incorporate my Flickr pictures or maybe create a Gallery again. I have twitter there on the side, it’s kind of blah… some other stuff too. Course if I am working I may not have any time to maintain everything so maybe I shouldn’t bother. I dunno.

Hope you can find a job quick. I’ve been unemployed the better part of a year, myself.  Then again, I’m fairly useless.  Meh.

Have you considered moving to Wordpress?  Yeah, it’s not EE, BUT it’s free, has a ton of cool plugins and themes. Much easier to maintain when you’re short on time. (And patience) (And motivation)

It will just be a shit retail job… cashier or something. I am sure those will be popping up come fall for the Christmas rush. Only problem will be my hour restrictions.

I was looking at Wordpress the other day, started playing with it and didn’t have the patience so I deleted everything… I am paid up for the year with EE so I will keep plugging along and see what comes I guess

Wordpress baby… all the way! wink I’ll help you out if you need it. (and free!)

The job thing sucks, I was working, barely, when we went though it way back when. Tightening of the belt? Suck-o-rama. I think we went through a 2 year budget - then things settled back into place. Have you thought about getting in with the schools? The pay is not so great, but the hours make it easy to be home with the kids.

From someone who’s hopped around from site to site, I’d have to agree that wordpress is pretty awesome. I can never seem to settle on one of the pre-made templates (not a do-it-yourselfer, =( obviously), but my boyfriend helped out his mom with her own domain on wordpress last year and said you could do anything you wanted.

The early shift (7-3 pm) at a hotel involves tons of being on the phone, taking reservations, etc., but I’ve heard it’s a pretty decent job (I wouldn’t know from experience, since I’ve always done the mid-or-late shifts). My friends who work that shift tell me they like it. Just a thought—I’m not sure how those hours would interfere with your schedule with the kids. Also where I work (and at most hotels out here), they do offer part-time hours, like 9-2 pm, that kind of thing.

Hugs smile

I don’t think that Wordpress is going to work for what I really want to do… hmmm… maybe back to the drawing board
