"Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart." ~ Kahlil Gibran
Got lots planned apparently.... best get dressed so we can get it all in!
Here ya go:
* Got up around 8/ The Kids and The Mr.gave me their cards (The boy’s was made in school and had some seeds inside with a lovely poem)
* The Mr.went out to trim the shrubbery and the tree out front that was blocking the walk and making it difficult to see any oncoming traffic while pulling out of the driveway
* Went to make the first stop at MIL’s because I forgot to mail the cards for our Moms
* Then attempted breakfast. I opted for Dunkin Donuts since most of the sit down places had lines going out the door (we were about 15 minutes later than I wanted to be the plan was to get there before church let out, but the front took longer than I expected… not a big deal though)
* Headed to my parents house. Dropped off card and visited with my nieces and nephew, two of my brothers, and SIL2B.
* Left there around 1pm and took the kids to see Speed Racer. Was pretty good… although about a half hour too long in my opinion.
* The headed over to give SMIL her card. Visited there for a bit. The Karate Kid was bouncing off the walls at this point. (or I guess I should say the deck since we were outside)
* Then had dinner at Applebee’s
* Then went grocery shopping. Spent $250. Still not used to the new pay schedule, we were down to next to nothing.
* Got home just after 8pm Sent The Mr.out to fill up his gas tank and got the kids going on showers while I put away groceries. Then got them to bed while I relaxed and watched some TV… Sox getting slaughtered, nothing much else on and eyes a drooping. So at about 10:10pm decided to hit the hay.
* Oh around 8:30 SILW/MS called. The Mr.asked her if she had called SMIL and she said no. She never considered her a mother or SFIL a father so never did anything for them. I don’t know if that was true or not. I thought I remember her doing something for SFIL at some point… may have been before all the MS stuff though. She asked to talk to me and we made plans to drop off the Teacher Appreciation raffle stuff tomorrow. She is chairing this one… and as always waited until the last minute to tell me when she needed me. Ugh!
Guess I had more to say than I thought Heh!
Happy Mothers Day to you! Sounds like a busy day.
