It has been a long four of days! So much that I need to purge, but I am really pooped right now and I need to get some rest because my baby brother is getting married tomorrow and I have to try to incorporate a new diet for The Karate Kid into the day. The long and short of it is, Both kids had well visits with the pediatrician Tuesday. They were due, and I had some concerns about the boy. I got home from the visit and found a voicemail message asking me to call the office back ASAP. I did that and was told to go directly to The Children’s Hospital in Boston. Which we did. And found that he has Type 1 Diabetes.
Purging will come later, it is time for his bedtime glucose check & injection.
OH NO!! Is he doing ok? Are you doing ok? Yeah - so glad the hospital caught it, but how scary! Hope the wedding is successful for you! GOOD LUCK!!
Thanks to both of you! We are doing great. There is a lot of adjusting going on, course life doesn’t stop just because we are having to change our whole lifestyle. The wedding today will be a challenge, and we were forced to pull back on some of our responsibilities, but I am confident that all will go well. I will try not to cry all over my camera as my brother marries the bitch 
I will be purging all the whole story as soon as my sister goes home… Monday I think.
Living with a diabetic is a major lifestyle change. It is pretty easy once you get into the swing of things. Still a pain at times, but practice will get you through.
