So since starting my new job back in September I have lost about 10 lbs. Which is good… but it makes the pants I bought for work a bit loose and since they were a little lower riding than I like I have to hike them up before squatting or bending so as not to flash any butt cleavage. Butt cleavage = bad! But I like that the pants aren’t snug any more that is good… but since they are loose I also don’t always feel my phone vibrate in my pocket when I get a call or text. Not so good when the school nurse is trying to in touch with my about The Karate Kids B/G numbers… also not good when The Mr.is trying to get my to call him… only today I am kind of glad I didn’t feel it. The Mr.texted me around noon today asking me to call him ASAP. I find out I had the text until my lunch break 2 and a half hours later. At which point I called and then wished I hadn’t. Seems a water line to the kitchen sink on the second floor burst and flooded not only the second floor kitchen, but destroyed part of my ceiling… actually part of both my ceilings since it has a drop ceiling over the old one. The Drama Queen did most of the mopping up since The Mr.and I were both at work.. and FIL rushed over to shut the water off when The Mr.called him since he couldn’t leave work right away, plus he was a 1/2 hour away. By the time I got home most of it was cleaned up. I guess I got lucky this time… The Mr.is very unhappy about all this and just wants out of this house. Sigh! Guess 2008 had a little more life left in it huh? The Mr.thinks that 2009 and 2008 are in cahoots… still don’t know if the stove is salvageable… keep your fingers crossed!

 

Wow.. 2009. I remember how weird it felt when I was a kid and I was looking forward to 1985, the year I would graduate high school. Anytime anyone would say something about the year 2000 and any year beyond that, I don’t know, can’t explain it. It just was weird. But here we are. And sometimes it feels as though hardly any time has past between then and now… and other times it feels like forever.

There will be no looking back post for me. I don’t really want to relive the mess that was 2008. It started off lousy and just kept going. Not all of it was shitty, but the highlights were. So onward we go.. I was planning a cute little snowy template, but all of that is locked on my crashed hard drive. So instead a recycled one… might as well ignore the snow, it is all over the place here anyway. Plus I am up to my armpits in spring at work so I might as well live it here too right?

Oh and I am thinking of trying a little Blog 365. I was hoping to do a picture a day too, but already blew that. I was planning on getting out and getting some shots of the snowy trees out back, but I opted to lay around and be lazy this morning before work instead. Oh well… Happy 2009 peeps!
