One Down The Fodder 21 December 2008

So we had our first Christmas get together today. Our gifts for FIL & SMIL were handmade by the kids and myself. They loved them. The ornaments are hanging on their tree as we speak. Made me very happy.

Santa’s shopping is done. I shall start my wrapping tomorrow… as well as making some more ornaments for MIL. I will need to come up with something to put them in. I am sure I have a gift bag somewhere. Can’t wait until it is all over. Still haven’t put up the tree yet. The Mr.says why bother at this point. I guess we really don’t need it. The kids don’t seem bothered by it at any rate.

My only day off this week beside today is Christmas. So far I am being kept on. I am thinking good thoughts for next week. I have been told I am on the staying list, but with our current economy I know that anything is possible. One store in our plaza is currently liquidating with another possible casualty soon. Scary times!

Bah Humbug The Fodder 15 December 2008

I am home today. Just wallowing in self pity and maybe folding some laundry… and making some ornaments for Christmas presents.. if I can get in the closet in The Karate Kid’s room. That is where my glue gun is… I hope

Found out that The Mr’s bonus won’t be coming until after Christmas. I have no money to get the kids gifts. None zero zilch big fat goose egg…Got $10 in the checking account and the car insurance and The Mr’s karate will be coming out either today or tomorrow so we will be in the red.. or even more in the red. I can make The Drama Queen understand they will get some gifts once we have that money… but The Karate Kid still believes in Santa. Ugh I am just sick about it…. don’t know what to do. we just need a couple hundred to have some things for them to open and asked The Mr.if he thought his father would lend it to us.. we would give him a post dated check for repayment so he would know it was coming back…but then we already owe him $16,000 and neither of us really want to go there. He thought maybe he could ask his mother, but we aren’t sure she has it. I know my parents don’t.

Ugh what a downer I am… I don’t even want to listen to myself. Bleah!

12/08/08 ~ Someone Been Working Their Bedazzler?

Deion Branch tipped a pass to himself in the end zone for a touchdown. Then the former Super Bowl MVP jogged to the railing of box seats and handed the ball to his wife, who was wearing a jewel-studded top with his jersey number 83 on it.
