Every moment of my day has been spend either working, or getting the second floor ready to be rented. So I am either covered in glitter or paint most days depending. I am exhausted and thinking I may be battling anemia again. Just what I need right now!
Just updated to the new build of EE. The usual drill if you see something wonky. I haven’t even had the time to check out what it was about, but I know it was a security issue

So The Mr.took time off last week to work on the apartment so we can get it rented out and I can climb out of this hole I am sinking into. (I say “I” because all the bills we have are in my name, -he pays the majority of them and I only pay a small portion, but I still freak because they are all in my name) And as he pulled the crappy tile board off the walls, he came across some problems. We didn’t have enough money for more tile board until Thursday and he had to go back to work on Friday. So FIL came over yesterday to help him get the new stuff up and clean up an electrical issue. Then they attempt to put in a new sink and vanity. While pulling the old sink out, the waste pipe crumbles… it is now broken off below the floor. That is when I walked away because the blood pressure started rising. Some how this also involved pulling the tub out as well…. The plumbing needs to be pulled out for that as well, but we were going to wait until the place was rented and go after it through our bathroom ceiling. (A money issue) Apparently not anymore. Oh and my bathroom ceiling tiles (a drop ceiling) need to be replaced again because they couldn’t get the hot water to shut off completely. It took me going down to the basement and turning a lever on the hot water heater for the second floor. Really doesn’t build any confidence in these two at all!
The walls look great though.
Today I primed doors. And pulled at least 100ft of scotch tape off of them all together. Holy hell what was up with that woman? Tomorrow I paint. Then I need to sand walls and measure for window treatments. We haven’t decided what to do about the front windows. The Tenants pulled the shades down that were there when they moved in and buried them in a pile of crap for four years so they aren’t going to cut it.. and the front windows are less than 24” wide so we are either looking at custom order blinds or cheapies that are mounted on the outside of the casings. We have blinds on ours which are directly below… and I believe the rest of the second floor is all blinds so that is probably the way to go. Besides I like them better. Wish I had helped myself to more from the store when we left!
After that I have to take care of the windows in the hallways. Of course once that is all done I will get to clean the stove and fridge and then clean up the mess made by the men. I think we should hire someone for that, but I am not Mayda Munny (Bonus points for anyone who knows who that is)

So yeah, time to say goodbye to the pink ribbon for another year and embrace FALL! Yay! I added a new feature to the middle column there with the twitter feed (Yeah figured out what I fracked up there, too) I wanted something where I could add little things that weren’t quite small enough to tweet and yet not big enough to warrent a blog post. So there they are The “Eyerolls” YAY!
And now I am off to spend some time with my son who turned 9 today. 9 Next year it’s the double digits! Ugh!
As always if ya see something wonky let me know ![]()
