Now What? The Fodder 11 November 2007

Here it is my 11th day and I haven’t got any good ideas for today. I could tell you how 15 years ago today I was in the early stages of labor with my first child. How About this time that night I told The Mr.that I was having contractions, and that he then ran right out and bought himself a pack of cigarettes and then sat and played Nintendo all night while I tried to rest. How Terribly frightened I was about the whole birthing of baby thing… and the lack of confidence I had in my doctors. But most of that I would rather not remember that clearly, so I am not going to dwell on it now..

My eldest is going to be 15 tomorrow… Wow! I don’t feel old enough to have a 15 year old.

15… yikes!

Shes Makin a List The Fodder 10 November 2007

I have been making this list of all the things I want to do around the house. It keeps getting longer… but nothing is getting marked as done. No time which sucks… but I really want to make time so I can get it all done before Christmas.

I have also got the gift giving list done. This one has a couple crossed off already Yay!  Oh I just remembered one to add.. Ugh!

This is going to be such a tough season for shopping with all the recalls. Too scary! I don’t want to get something for any of the nieces or nephews that could kill them ya know. Clothes and DVDs it is!! Ugh!

Still not sure about getting something for SBIL’s kids. They never get anything for our kids, and we haven’t spoken with them in what… three years? They only live a few miles from here but there is a family feud there. We are… not in the middle but near the middle of it. Sucks! But what can ya do… I guess we can just get a Toys R Us gift card or something along those lines.

Maybe they should all get cash… would make life so much easier… except I know for a fact that SIL with MS keeps it instead of giving it to her kids. So that ain’t happening!

Bah Humbug already!!

What a World What a World The Fodder 09 November 2007

The Wizard of Oz is on tonight. I remember when I was a kid it would play once a year always around the same time, and we would get to stay up and watch it. Mom would pop some popcorn (Jiffy Pop was our favorite) and we would all sit glued to the TV. Every year the same thing… until one year in High School there was a dance scheduled for the same night. I really really wanted to go to the dance, but it really didn’t feel right not to stay home and watch the movie. I went back and forth over and over. I did end up going and had a BLAST. I didn’t really miss seeing the movie at all, but I did miss the tradition. Course now I have it on tape and I think it is on DVD as well. Can watch it anytime I want… but I don’t After that year I kind of got out of the habit… I can’t hear the Miss Gulch on the bike music though without thinking of freshly popped Jiffy Pop! MMMM!!

12/08/08 ~ Someone Been Working Their Bedazzler?

Deion Branch tipped a pass to himself in the end zone for a touchdown. Then the former Super Bowl MVP jogged to the railing of box seats and handed the ball to his wife, who was wearing a jewel-studded top with his jersey number 83 on it.
