I started out weighing 333 lbs in March 2009 and weighed in on my 25th birthday this past August at 233. 100 lbs in a year and a half is not too bad and I’m so happy I did it! But I’m still not THERE. I want to lose about 60 more pounds, just being under 200 will make me happy. I don’t remember being under 200 lbs ever (of course I was at one point). So it’s January now and I’m at 248, 15 pounds in 4 months is not good! I just was looking for some support or words of wisdom or experience from anyone? I should also add I did it all with diet and calorie counting. I don’t like to exercise, I wish I did. I do yoga but I need to also find motivation to do other things. With the weather so cold now, I don’t think walking with my two young children is a good option until it gets a little warmer. I bought DVDs to do indoors until then. But I still lack the drive to do it! What do you do to motivate yourself? Just looking for advice I guess and sharing my story.
Cardiovascular training is your best option. With that much weight, you need something which is no impact or low impact at most. Best choices are stationary bike or elliptical. The bike is usually less expensive.
On the diet side, have you considered becoming a vegetarian?
It is always a good decision to better yourself.
