Orthodontic therapists – Blackburn – Orthodontic Jobs Blackburn

Another success as one of our Colne nurses has been accepted onto the Orthodontic therapist course at Manchester Dental Hospital. Emma Adams received her confirmation letter today and will be attending the Dental hospital for training as from August 2010.

Michelle Whalley who is currently attending the Manchester Dental Hospital will sit her examinations in June 2010. Michelle has worked very hard and we all wish her the best of luck on her examination day.

Due to the growing number of children in the UK needing Orthodontic treatment, a strain had been put upon the few Orthodontic specialists we have and their work load doubled more than those in Europe.

There for the need for more help was addressed and the decision to train those who have a keen interest in Orthodontics, previous dental background and good communication skills to become a new line of Orthodontic therapists.

Orthodontic Therapists Blackburn Lancashire

Orthodontic therapists assist dentists in carrying out orthodontic treatment and provide some aspects of the treatment themselves. Orthodontic therapists also carry out treatments to assist patients in an emergency by relieving pain or making appliances safe.

In order to train as an orthodontic therapist, individuals need to be qualified in dental nursing, dental hygiene, dental therapy or dental technology and also need to have a period of post-qualification experience.

The General Dental Council is working with training providers to develop courses in orthodontic therapy.

children jobs manchester Questions

Single mums, please tell me how you cope? what would you have done differently? what help is out there?

my husband doesn’t want to have children. I have tried to convince him, especially for the past 18months but he doen’t want to hear anything. So…. I am thinking of leaving him, move on and given what it takes to find MIster right, well… I am considering having a baby on my own.
My husband and I were together 10 years this summer, 4 years married.
Making a baby ‘by accident’ with him is not an option.
I live in Manchester, I have a full time job, I rent a room at the moment in a house.
I am 34years old and refuse to wait any much longer to have a child.

It’s very possible to raise a child on your own. You need to get to a place where you are able to do it financially. Secondly, you need to have a whole lot of love to give.
